Harvest Festival 2024
Doukenie Winery is the 2nd oldest Winery in Loudoun County yet out of the 80+ wineries, breweries and cideries they struggle to connect with their young, vibrant community. New management and I decided we should revitalized our Harvest Festival as a marketing opportunity to reconnect with the local community. To show pure good will we decided this would be a free event, unlike similar events in the county, to reintroduce ourselves and introduce the winery to many who have never visited. On this page you will see a compilation of the various activities and attractions I organized as the Event Coordinator.

Collateral and Digital Poster
Two months prior to the festival I started by researching and building relationships with 20+ local vendors and artists in our area to host our first ever pop-up market. This allowed me to create a list of contacts for the winery's future events. Next, I reached out to our favorite restaurant owners that we host each weekend and invited 3 food trucks, representing different cuisines, to be a part of the event. I sent details of the layout of the event and coordinated promoting each other on our socials. Finally, I planned a variety of activities for younger and older visitors like barrel tastings in the wine cellar, hay rides through the vineyards, and carnival games. The results from this event exceeded our expectations. We had over 300+ guests throughout the day which is double our regular foot traffic. One guest who visited coined the term "Doukenie is fun again" - a testament to the impact we made on the perception of our brand in the mind of our consumers.
